Whoever says that pastors only work one day a week is so mistaken... Pastor Ellen Thackery, thirty-one-year-old pastor at Brookside United Methodist church in Indiana, is an unusual clergywoman. She gets into more precarious situations than ten other pastors ever could. She knows that nothing in seminary prepared her for the bizarre escapades and unusual circumstances she experiences. Elle has a desire to aid battered women, for example, but one of the abusers threatens her. She also helps search for a young woman who has disappeared. In her personal time she loves shopping for shoes and spending time with her pastor boyfriend. Every Sunday her church folks look at her feet to see the latest pair of high heels and then check her left hand for an engagement ring. She can't believe that she's been patient for so long... will he ever propose?
